Kilburn Library

Facilities and spaces

Visitors can enjoy a range of new and upgraded facilities, including a spacious single-floor layout with versatile areas for exhibitions, workshops, performances, and community programmes.

The library also offer a brand new hireable community space, Studio42. Fully equipped with a screen and Wi-Fi, this newly built space, is ideal for meetings, courses, group activities, and events.

Bookings open via our dedicated booking platform from March 2026.

 

Collections and languages

In addition to English books and materials, we hold collections in French, Spanish Arabic, Ukrainian, Japanese, Italian. Other languages can be requested for loan via our library catalogue.

 

Membership and access

The library is free to use and join. Members can borrow books, access Wi-Fi, and use reference materials, newspapers, and magazines.

A wide range of digital resources is available both in the library and remotely.

Kilburn library has resources for children, young people and adults. Material that is not available at a particular library can be requested from a vast network of other London libraries as part of The Library Consortium.

Please note - due to our regular events programme, our libraries can be noisier at some times than others. Please contact the library for more information if required

In addition to English, Kilburn library holds collections in French, Spanish, Italian and Ukrainian.

 

How to get to the Kilburn Library

By underground

Nearest tube station to the library is:

By bus

There is some metered off street parking in adjacent roads.

The nearest council car park is on Salusbury Rd.  

Access and Parking

  • some metered off street parking
  • pedestrian path is level and wide from Salusbury Road
  • level or ramped access at the front of the building (ramp has no landing at the top)
  • an automatic door is in place
